IMPORTANT Scam Alert: Emily Hilary, HR Manager from imedatresource.com
It’s come to our attention that someone masquerading as iMedat is offering employment to transcriptionists. If you have received a suspicious solicitation, please do not respond. In the past, they have:
- Welcomed “applicants” to iMedat
- Notified them that they’ll have to pay for equipment from their preferred vendor
- Notified them that a Zoom session will be booked
- Signed communications with the name “Emily Hilary, HR Manager, iMedat Recruitment Team” – there isn’t any Emily Hilary at iMedat, or an HR manager, or an iMedat recruitment team
- Used an email address from: @imedatresource.com
We are not sure how the scam works exactly. What we do know is that this is not a legitimate offer of employment from iMedat. All communications from iMedat will either come from an email address ending in: @imedat.com
Further, we do not sell any equipment to our transcriptionists or ask them for money in any way. In general, it’s a major red flag if anyone asks you for money before starting a transcription position or as part of your employment agreement.

If you have already interacted with these people, please notify your bank immediately and contact your local authorities. We would also be interested in finding out how far this extends, but please contact your bank and police before contacting us.
